Man Boobs

Can you see yourself in the lingerie store, looking through the bra section, trying to find the right bra size? Can you see yourself in the dressing room, trying on those little bras, wondering how something so little and lacy can be so incredibly uncomfortable? If you are a man you can’t. Unfortunately, many men who develop men boobs actually do need a bra for the support that they provide.

Unfortunately, the bras found in lingerie stores were designed for women. They are generally very feminine, and not something a man would be caught dead in. It’s bad enough that he has man boobs…now you are telling him that he needs to wear a bra?

In most cases, however, a man with man boobs, or gynecomastia, doesn’t need a bra for support. Instead, he will seek out a bra to help reduce the visible appearance of his man boobs. Fortunately, such bras do exist for men, and if you have man boobs, you need to know about them.

First note that there is a difference between bras designed for men, and bras designed for women. Bras designed for women are lacy and pretty, and they are designed for the purpose of lifting the breasts, as well as offering support for the breasts. Bras for men, on the other hand, are not designed to flatter the breasts, as women’s bras are. Instead the purpose of a man’s bra is to flatten his breasts.

Bras designed for men are often called gynecomastia vests or compression bras. Some people even refer to the male bra as a bro. They are actually sold in few stores, but can easily be found at numerous online stores. When ordering a male bra, however, it is important to know your exact size before making a purchase.

One of the issues that men have with wearing a bra is that it may be obvious that they are doing so. Most male bra manufacturers, however, have taken this concern into consideration, and have developed bras that are actually more like vests, and when worn under a shirt looks like nothing more than an undershirt, which is perfectly acceptable attire in the male world.

Note that there is no medical necessity, in most cases, for the use of a bra. This is true for both men and women. However, as any woman with large breasts can tell you, the weight of large breasts can cause upper back pain, and the use of a supportive bra often helps to alleviate the pain for some women. On the other side of that, however, the use of a bra for large breasts can sometimes actually cause upper back pain as well. Men who have man boobs may run into the same problem, which is why many men actually need a male bra that supports and flattens at the same time.

Unfortunately, men will run into the same problem that women have. Bras simply are not comfortable – even if you find one that fits perfectly, having something that squeezes you simply is not comfortable.
